Exciting news at the Redvers Arts Centre! Phase 1 of the Redvers Arts Centre building update is set to begin on Monday!
This is our first phase of our plans to rehab and reno the Redvers Arts Centre. We have been working with Alton Tangedal Architect Ltd. over this past year planning for this and later phases of the Redvers Arts Centre project. We put the phase 1 project out to tender this fall and we have accepted the bid of Gabriel Construction. They will be our general contractor coordinating their work and the sub trades for this phase. Phase 1 is focusing on basement structural reinforcement, waterproofing and flood proofing, main beam replacement, basement floor replacement and rough-in plumbing (as we prep for a later basement renovation phase). With the completion of phase 1, we should be able to re-open the Redvers Arts Centre this spring and continue to work on additional rehab and reno phases each year. Thanks for your ongoing support of the Redvers Arts Centre.
If you would like to make a tax-deductable donation to support our Arts Centre building project, make cheques payable to Redvers and District Arts Council, Box 727, Redvers, SK S0C 2H0 (just write building project in the memo line).
We also have $25 tickets available on our One-Half Beef raffle. Ross Madsen has donated a beef for this cause and we are selling tickets on both halves of the beef –cut, wrapped and frozen to the winners’ specifications. Ready in January. Contact Gwen Arthur or Graham James if you would like a ticket.
Our Annual General Meeting has been rescheduled from Monday, Dec 5th to Monday, Dec 12th at 7:00 pm. Location to be confirmed. The AGM is open to the public. Anyone interested in becoming a member of Arts Council is welcomed.
Thanks also to the Redvers & District Lions Club for their recent $10000 donation towards our building project.
